Protect your business

Adding to our portfolio of services supporting clients internationally, Core is proud to launch its Business Continuity and Security services to help protect your organisation.
Core has teamed up with Nick Holden, a former royal marine and member of The Security Institute, to offer the latest additions to Core’s range of essential business support services. With over 12 years’ experience in the military, and more recently strategic and operational management experience in the corporate world, Nick is perfectly qualified to help ensure Core’s clients are equipped for growth.
Nick comments “Having previously worked in a corporate environment, I am excited at the opportunity to share my knowledge with both small and large businesses internationally to help them protect their people and other assets to maintain sustainable growth.”
He continues “In today’s ever increasingly digital world Business Continuity is no longer just relevant to large corporations but should be considered by all businesses. As seen in the news recently a cyber-attack or IT issue can bring down even the largest business and many of our clients feel particularly vulnerable in this area.”
The latest service that Core has added to its portfolio offers clients wishing to develop internationally a strong foundation upon which to develop with the assurance that all eventualities have been considered. Business Continuity is often described as ‘just common sense’. However, it is much more complex than that. It means taking responsibility for your business and enabling it to stay on course through any eventuality. It is about “keeping calm and carrying on”.
“Core’s focus has always been on helping businesses to develop internationally,” says Core’s Chairman, John Holmes, “and with the addition of our Security and Business Continuity offerings we are able to ensure clients have considered all the pitfalls and are prepared for the future. In fact, embedding these concepts into your business has been proven to bring long term benefits.”
Business Continuity is more than considering ‘what if things go wrong?’, it involves delving into your business and identifying your key products and services and the most vital activities that underpin them and then, once that analysis is complete, it is about devising plans and strategies that will enable you to continue your business operations and enable you to recover quickly and effectively from any type of disruption whatever its size or cause.
However, this isn’t the end of the process, these continuity strategies must then be tested and simulated to ensure they can be relied on in a real crisis. This is where many companies go wrong, by completing the theory without testing the process. With Nick’s practical hands on experience we can give clients a solid framework to lean on in times of crisis.
